As reported by MMAJunkie, Bellator’s Derek Anderson was suspended by Mohegan sun tribe department of athletic safety and regulation for 120 days following his loss to Michael “Venom” page at Bellator 258 on Friday.

In Camiseta Cruz Azul pre bout licencing Anderson did not disclose medical problems Camiseta Tottenham Hotspur on his pre-fight medical questionnaire. despite this he took to social media and stated that that during his fight camp, he went to the hospital four times for kidney failure. He posted as follows:

“Thank you @bellatormma @therealscottcoker love to be back ASAP but went to the hospital 4 times as I was having Camiseta SC Braga kidney failure my whole camp and could hardly train, I wanted to make this fight happen. I’ll be back after a short vacation to recover and now I have some new wounds to lick. To my friends, family, and fans I love you all and don’t worry about the haters I’m happy I get to lead the life I do and criticism is part of it. Broke my hand drawing first blood so there’s that but all respect to @michaelvenompage definitely want to do it again sometime.”

In characterizing this non disclosure as ‘falsified’ records Mohegan sun head Mike Mazzulli told MMAJunkie as follows:

“When you falsify a pre-fight medical form when they ask you about your health, that’s a concern of mine…We’re worried about the fighters’ safety. That’s my biggest problem. I’m not going to take it lightly. It’s not OK.”

It should be noted that Anderson lost his bout and suffered a severely broken nose in the process making this suspension really not much different than it would have been for simple bost bout medical reasons.

There are countless examples of fighters lying about their health on pre-fight medical forms. There are few examples of accountability.
